Just Superb
I've been buying, loving, and using pressure cookers since my college days in the 70's. The pc was perfect for a college student who didn't want to live on fast food. I could have dried beans done in less than an hour in the pc, brown rice in 10-15 minutes. Well, the seductive charms of pressure cookers have never left me, and I own several in different brands and sizes.
I do own two Hawkins Classic pc's, the 1.5 litre and the 6.5 litre, and love them both. I particularly like the gasket system on the Hawkins; we used to have pc's with this system here decades ago. There's a lip on the rim of the pressure cooker, and the lid actually fits inside the lip, and when the pressure increases in the pan the lid is pressed even tighter against the bottom. The gasket is relatively small compared to the ones on twist-top cookers, and of course this gasket isn't constantly rubbed and abraded every time the lid is put on or taken off.
