Update to my original review:
After my disappointment with this item, I ordered two sets of "Royal Albert Old Country Roses 20-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4." It costs a little more, but QUALITY IS INFINITELY BETTER. The issue with my original complaint still has not been resolved. Unfortunately, I have no hope it will ever be resolved.

What a disappointment! It didn't look anything like in the picture. I wanted to return it as soon as I received. I entered the request for return at amazon.com web site. I printed the approved return authorization for UPS pickup, started waiting for pickup. Nobody came to pick it up. Deadline to return it was July 12. I called amazon customer service on July 9 and complained. They said they would send me a new return authorization, and arrange for UPS would pick it up for the next day. I received the promised return...
Will happily us it.
I like this dish and will use it, but am not as delighted with it as i was with other pieces. It's smaller than expected (and the size is clearly indicated in the description) - the handles account for almost an inch at either end. Note that it is not oven-safe so although it looks like a casserole dish it is not.
