Columbian Home Prod. 0512-6 Open Rectangle Roaster Baking Pan

Something good from the past
These pans are very easy to clean. I had one from over thirty years ago and it was just time to replace it. When it arrived it was smaller than the size I ordered which apparently they no longer make. But they were very cooperative, tried resending it. Still was not the correct size. I kept them and really like the way they roast. Just still on the hunt for a larger one!

Circulon Contempo 18" x 10" Double Burner Griddle

Superb in every way
I have used this griddle weekly for the past 10 years and it does not have a scratch on it. Like all of the other items in this series (I also have the stir-fry pan and round flat pan) it is the best non-stick coating have every used. Everything simply wipes off. Fits over two burners (gas or halogen, have not tried electric) and it distributes heat very uniformly. Perfect for pancakes or french toast.

Pot for a crowd
The quality of this pot is less than I expected. I have a very old, 42 year Farberware Pot that I use for everything including large pots of

find one that compares with the old.

Forbidden instructions: Yow! Read the notes. As I read some of these I was tempted to skip them as mundane "old school" stuff. My attention was caught by the "never turn heat higher than medium" and I continued to the end, including washing information. I have had this product for several months now and continue to be happy because it just works for me. No whistles or bells, just a fry pan that does what I want. The handle is a dream and I know it will outlive the pan.

Fagor 8 Piece Tri-Ply Cookware Set

Incredibly, unbelievably bad
I got this set of cookware free along with a Fagor cooktop. I figured it wouldn't be as good as All-Clad or Cephalon but that it should service for a couple of years.

The induction cooktop is perfectly fine - quite good actually. The cookware, not so much. We've never had a pan fall apart in a single day. After using exactly once, under normal care, two pieces started rusting! So much for stainless steel. For the other pieces that haven't started rusting yet, cleaning is shockingly more difficult compared to All-Clad - or frankly every single other make of cookware we've used. And even after washing shortly after use, water stains require intense scrubbing to remove - again contrasting with our non-Fagor cookware.

On top of that, the glass lids are difficult to fully clean where they connect to their edges.

On the plus side, the handles stay cool, the aesthetics are good, and the steamer is well-designed.

I've only had one set, but if...

FAGOR TRI-PLY COOKWARE 8-PIECE
I like the fast even heat distribution that the tri-ply core offers. Not to mention the stay-cool handles.
The HMI is excellent and the sizes just right. And the set has all the pieces; stock/pasta pot, skillet, a good size steamer basket and 2 saucepans, the smaller one doubles as a fryer too. The glass lids are heavy enough and vented for simmering. Now, if only I knew a cleaner that performs just as well, I'd be set.

Wife likes set.
My wife is pleased with set of cookware. She has used many brands of cookware and prefers Fagor.
I will polish skillet with abrasive to reduce sticking of eggs.
Large handles help wife lift heavy skillet.

Hawkins Ventura Hard Anodised Black Base Pressure Cooker, 3-1/2-Litre

Just Superb
I've been buying, loving, and using pressure cookers since my college days in the 70's. The pc was perfect for a college student who didn't want to live on fast food. I could have dried beans done in less than an hour in the pc, brown rice in 10-15 minutes. Well, the seductive charms of pressure cookers have never left me, and I own several in different brands and sizes.

I do own two Hawkins Classic pc's, the 1.5 litre and the 6.5 litre, and love them both. I particularly like the gasket system on the Hawkins; we used to have pc's with this system here decades ago. There's a lip on the rim of the pressure cooker, and the lid actually fits inside the lip, and when the pressure increases in the pan the lid is pressed even tighter against the bottom. The gasket is relatively small compared to the ones on twist-top cookers, and of course this gasket isn't constantly rubbed and abraded every time the lid is put on or taken off.

I have a very old Mirro pc, a 4...

Cuisinart WOK-730 7-2/7-Quart Electric Wok, Stainless Steel

Love Chinese Cooking
I have always use the traditional Chinese iron wok, but, with the gas stove at home it was never hot enough,or it only heats up the bottom ring and the sides were not hot enough to stir fry, as soon as vegetable is put in, it has to wait for the temperture to get hot again, by then the water on the vegetable comes out and it gets very watery.
I try the Cuisinart electric wok and I am please to say it did work great, the temp. was good, no more watery veggies.
With the non stick surface it was great for stirr fry and seasoning and sauce.
THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE LID.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE LID, IT GETS VERY VERY HOT AND IT WILL BURN YOUR HAND, SO BE SURE TO USE A HOT PAD.
It is easy to clean, and easy to store, better then the old traditional wok that does not sit good on a stove top for Oriental cooking. The only thing is I can not use my metal spatula on the non stick surface, but my teflon utensils work just as good.

Great appliance!
We've owned this Cuisinart Wok for just over six months now, and my husband and I both love cooking with it. I owned another electric wok for 17 years (a West Bend I think)and it's not the kind of thing you replace until it breaks ... but I'm actually glad it did. The Cuisinart heats up much hotter and more evenly, producing great stir fried foods. It also cleans up very easily because the wok can be released from the base to go right into the sink. Afterwards, it locks back securely into the base for storage and for cooking. It's also not too heavy or awkward to pull in and out of the cupboards under the stove. I highly recommend this item.

Perfectly designed electric wok.
Wow. What a nice machine. I have used stove-top woks before, even though we have an electric range. They never seemed to work as they should. Even when using a butane countertop burner the results were disappointing. So when I saw this Cuisinart electric wok I was intrigued, not least because it was designed and made by a decent company, which satisfies with its other products. Being a former design and manufacturing engineer I saw the advantage of the high heat output of this elegantly designed wok. When I read other peoples' reviews I just had to try it. My wife gave it to me as a present, and I just love it. It gets to temperature very quickly, maintains that temperature, and has no little "quirks" that I can detect. It excels at browning during stir-frying, probably the toughest test for the heating element. I also love the way it comes apart for cleaning, doing so very quickly and logically. It is very easy to clean (non-stick interior), either in the sink or dishwasher. And I...

Pillivuyt 2-Cup Porcelain Lion's Head Tureen with Lid

Incredible quality; classic design
This tureen and lid survived an extended tumble down a long, steep, brick driveway, and emerged in perfect condition. Surely a lower quality piece whose ears and pedestal were not 'built in' to the main bowl would not have made it.

Most footed bowls seem unstable or awkward to me, but the heft of the pedestal keeps this one balanced so it seems to be glued to the table, rather than waiting for an opportunity to topple.

The detailing is precise. True to Pillivuyt's claims, these can definitely mingle on the table with fine china - as long as your china is nice enough to stand with this functional porcelain; some of my vintage pieces are definitively out shined.

Just the gift I was looking for
I bought this lidded lion's head tureen as a gift for my mother so that I can continue to send her additional ones to add to a collection for her. Since I had it shipped to her address, I have to assume it arrived in good condition.

Kinetic Kitchen Basics Series Stainless Steel Cookware Set with Lids 12000, 7-Piece

So far so good - first use of 3 pots
I received this set yesterday and it looks good and feels heavy enough. After using 3 pots today I'm starting with a 5-star, subject to revision if I run into problems. Overall the quality seems very good for the price - I've spent days comparing brands and reading tons of reviews before settling on an Innova product. I just can't afford All Clad or West Bend. Luckily my glass lids with vents from my old QVC 'Cooks Essentials' nonstick set fit all the pieces, so I'll use them instead of the stainless lids. I'm getting rid of all nonstick cookware in my kitchen for health reasons. First test was a big pot of chicken noodle soup. You are supposed to avoid high heat, but you can't boil noodles on medium haha So once they came to a boil I turned it to medium, and added the chicken and cream soup. Took a little longer on medium but turned out fine. Plain washing left a dark discolored haze in the inside, with visible marks from the plastic utensil used to stir it. But a good...

Kitchen Classics 188-550LIB 11-Inch Heavy Gauge Aluminum Square Non-Stick Griddle

Too thin
This thing is way too thin. I've got some heavy gage aluminum pots and was hopeful that his would be similar. Unfortunately not.

I did not even use it and sent it back. I've never sent anything back to Amazon before, so that's an indication of my feelings about it.

Every Kitchen Should Have This!
No kitchen is complete without this! This a GREAT pan for grilled cheese, bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. It is extremely lightweight, washes easily, is truly non-stick, but don't *ever* use a knife on this (or any non-stick pan) because it will scratch easily. I would give this product five stars only if the Teflon material were thicker.

Love it!

Kinetic Classicor Series 4.4-Quart Tapered Chicken Fryer Pan with High Dome Window Lid

Love the size and high lid
I use this pan a lot because I don't have to worry about my kids damaging it with metal utensils. It's nice and deep so it's good for frying. It's also very attractive. It is not non-stick but cleaning it has been pretty easy. I just dump everything out of it and then put a few cups of water in it and put it back on the stove for a few minutes. I use a spatula to just remove everything from the bottom. It take less than a minutes to get almost everything out of it. I clean all my stainless steel and cast iron this way. A scratcher sponge for the little bit left and it's clean. It also goes through the dishwasher well.

Excellent for popcorn, but use a vented lid
I bought this pan specifically to use as my designated popcorn pan because of its depth and domed cover. For popcorn, a vented lid allows steam to escape and prevents the popcorn from becoming soggy. I am using a T-Fal 11" vented lid. So far this has been an excellent pan for popcorn. It holds 3/4 cup of popcorn and when popped fills the pan completely, when using the aforementioned lid. It has a large flat bottom, and an aluminum base to distribute heat evenly.
I have not used the domed cover / lid but like the fact that it has a glass insert allowing sight in to the pan while cooking. I have not used this pan to cook a chicken so I am not able to attest to its use in that regard. I would be concerned about cooking anything in the pan that is heavy as the stainless steel seems a bit thin and the handle is attached with spot welds instead of rivets. There seems to be a significant amount of flexing between the handle and the side of the pan where it is attached. I noticed...

Great grill but tricky cleaning
This is a fabulous product for grilling inside....pork chops and peaches, steak, chicken, sausage. What a great alternative to being outside in the rain or snow. BUT, the cleaning of it is tricky. I have sprayed pam before use which helps. No matter what you do, it will take a while to get in between the grooves. I soak it overnight in hot water, then use a plastic tool to get in between the grooves, then put it in the dishwasher. It's a bit like having an infant. Needs TLC, but so far it's been worth all the effort.

Sitram Catering Saucier Pan 3.35-Quart

wrong picture shown -- good quality pan
My review is written for the Profiserie= "Professional" version of this item -- Amazon changed the picture to 'Catering' which is a different line of pots. I have never used or reviewed a 'Catering' line pot, if Amazon changes this entry to the Catering version of the pot. I checked the Sitram website for Profiserie cookware (which is the same as "Professional". The alternate name is chosen only by retailer or distributor, and the equipment is identical.

the picture Amazon shows (at the time of this review update) is for a 'saucier pan'(evasee), Sitram 3.35 qt. Catering saucier pan, (Sitram 20041 in the Profiserie line, not shown in the picture).

I own the next size smaller saucepan in this series, and it is sturdy, heats quickly and evenly, has a very stay-cool tubular handle (using my electric coil range), is happy in the dishwasher, and pours easily without dripping. I wonder if the spot-welded handle will ever come off, but if it does, it has a lifetime...

Excellent pan
I purchased this to use with an induction cooking top and now it is my favorite pan. The bottom distributes the heat so very evenly that I use this pan for fondues. It also works well on other cook tops but if you have a gas range you'll probably want a silicone handle cover so you don't fry your hand on the bare metal. I use a silicone mitt instead which works for me. I prefer metal handles because a lot of dishes spend time roasting in the oven.

Kitchen workhorse
I've had one of these for at least seven years, and it's become my most-used pan for everything from sauteed onions to oyster stew. It's been used on electric and gas stoves and now an Aga, it's been hand-washed, dishwashered, dropped and slung around, and it's still going strong. I like it so much, I now have its 5.2 quart big brother and several other Sitram pans as well, and you cannot beat the price!

Pilot Rock H-16 B6 Multilevel Park Grill with Post

the one you want.
definitly the grill to choose. all i can say ive done to improve it is i had a steel cover made to keep it dry (since i couldnt find one of any kind). just a nice thing to add so it doesn't rust quickly between uses. the grill also does not completely drain when level. leaving tou with a small puddle or some soggy ashes. so i suppose you could tweek the level slightly to accomidate that when you set the post, but the steel cover fixed that for me. don't buy the other grills this one is nicer!

Arrived with paint chipped off in many places and does not rotate when installed
Unit was packaged loosely and where the parts banged against each other the black paint was chipped off on arrival. No instructions for assembly at all in the carton. Retaining (lock?) pin was wrong side and did not actually fasten in place. Finally the unit does not rotate 360 degrees (it is actually fixed in place if secured or rotates but can be simply lifted (stolen/dropped/etc.) off the base if not secured with my own bolt. The only reason I did not send it back is that I am sure the shipping cost would have been outrageous. You need to check with this manufacturer about these issues. I do not recommend buying from this vendor at least through Amazon.

Amazon shipping was super fast, this was packaged very well and far exceeding all expectations.

Works fine for homebrewing
I got this pot for my homebrewing boil and it works just fine for a 5gal batch. I usually boil 6.5gals with no problems, the thick bottom prevents scortching the malt. I had some issues when attaching a ball valve to the side because the bottom of the pot is curved, so I had to set it at 2.5 inches from the bottom. I completely flat bottom pot would make this easier, reason why I took one star off my ratings.

Great stockpot
I can't recommend this highly enough. This stockpot is built for pros, its very shine and nice to look at and cleans up easily. If you are looking for a big stockpot, do no hesitate to pick one of these up.

Winco Red Removable Sleeve Only - for 12 inch Fry Pan -- 1 each.

Silicone sleeve
I can't really do much of a review for this product because I'm not using it. The Winco fry pan I bought it for is so well designed a silicone sleeve is unneeded. I will say that the sleeve I received will not fit the pan I bought. Apparently there are two different sleeves because Winco produces pans with two different handles. This sleeve will only fit a solid restaurant-style handle -- completely flat and about an inch wide. The picture they show is for two sleeves, and it looks as if one will fit a round tubular handle, which is what I needed. So be advised that purchasing these sleeves may not be as easy as it looks. I did NOT contact the seller for a replacement because, as I said, the sleeve is really unnecessary, and I only paid a couple dollars for it anyway. No big deal. Excellent Pot rack - solid construction and all hardware included
I just installed this in my kitchen this past weekend. It is a very well made product and it looks great.

I especially like that all the hardware and hooks are included. (if you look close at the other products of this type a lot of them make you buy the hooks separate)

This even includes the hooks to screw into the ceiling. Like the instructions say, be sure to hit a ceiling joist (or in my case, I had attic access over the kitchen so I just added some 2x4s where I needed them and screwed the 2x4s to the ceiling joists).
Do NOT just use anchors in the drywall... It will rip your ceiling down.

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless-Steel Nonstick 8-Inch Open Skillet

Good nonstick skillet
This is a good nonstick skillet and it's great that it's dishwasher safe. The only thing I would change is I'd make the skillet sides a little lower. When I slide eggs out, they tend to roll and flip. When I use my other skillets with lower sides, I don't have that problem. Overall, I am very satisfied with it.

Pleased in Mobile
I really appreciated reading other people's opinions on the KitchenAid cookware. I have been looking around for a while and was ready to up-date my kitchen utencils when I came across the KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Satinless Steel pots-n-pans. I liked what I read about the products and ordered the set along with the 8-inch Nonstick open skillet. My entire family is enjoying cooking with the items. We are a family of 4 and I cook everyday, so they get some serious use in my kitchen. I would recommend these to anyone. I love my entire KtichenAid set of cookware. I imagine it will last for a long time.

Wilton Easter Bunny Treats Pan

Great
This pan is a lot of fun at Easter! I love to bake, but do not get to as much as I would like, but Wilton is always great!

Makes cute cookies!
After trying the Heart Molds similar to this product, I decided to try the Easter Bunny ones for a party. I did not use sticks for my sugar cookies and found they worked fine. Once again I found that the suggested cooling was is a bit low, suggesting 5 minutes. They are just to soft to get out of the pan at this point, so I wait at least 10 minutes.

My only real difficulty was that it was very difficult to see the facial imprints on the cooked cookies. I thought that I had pushed the dough into the mold pretty well but some of them came out with marks you could hardly see at all. Not a big deal, because you can pretty much decide where you want your own eyes etc anyway.

I made some heavily decorated with frosting and some that just had their eyes, nose and mouth. My guests loved both!

Stir Fry Pan Set - Style 37432

Wok
This pan was the ideal size that I was looking for. and I loved the accessories -- until they began to change color because they are hard to clean (the small spoons, the wooden spoon).

The wok also isn't as non-stick as one would hope.

horrible
This was fine the first couple of weeks, then the inside started coming off (even with gentle use of a wooden spoon) and started rusting. Cheap....

Thought it was a bargain
The bowls and woodenware alone I thought was worth the price, so to get the wok as well I really thought this was a steal. I made sure to take good care of the wok, not to let anything metal be used on it or stored in it but after only a handful of uses the coating began to come off! I had to throw it out because the coating kept peeling up and it was impossible to clean stuff off the bare spots. I totally love the bowls and spoons though, I've dropped them a few times and shoved them in the dishwasher several times and they are no worse for the wear (I recently had a baby and find these convenient for feeding him too!).

Something weird about this fry pan!
Love the idea behind this product...but...there is something weird about the design. I have a glass top stove...this pan does not fit flat on it. It rocks back and forth and spins around! The pan looks flat on the bottom, but must not be. I used it in the oven to warm a ham over Christmas and it worked fine for that. To use it on top of the stove, as it is, you really have to turn up the heat. Wish I could figure out what is wrong with the design. I bought a couple of other fry pans from this company at the same time and they do the same thing :(

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Hard-Base Ceramic Mini Oval Au Gratins, Set of 2

Excellent
I just got the Analon version $10...same size etc. Beautiful.

With all due respect to the first reviewer....Au Gratin dishes are generally baked....in an oven . For those not familiar with this type of dish....try Google for recipes. Some of my fave dishes have been Au Gratin. Nice way to entertain....four of these along with (4 friends/family) salad a little wine , dessert and Happy Happy Happy.

High Quality
All my regular cookware is Calphalon, so I am used to higher end cookware. These mini au gratins fit that expectation. The nonstick surface is very heavy duty. Even crusted on food will wipe away easily with just a short dip in hot water.

Another thing I love about these is being able to make individual portions & tailor each one to suit each taste. These are even cute enough to serve from. We use these for so many different dishes from scampi to potatoes au gratin to mac & cheese & even individual pot pies.

For those who complain about the size of these pans, what part of MINI do you not understand? I actually think they are very generously portioned. You can't blame the product or amazon.com for your failure to read what you are buying. I am very pleased with my purchase & think it is an excellent value for the price.

Perfect for My Uses
They're not *that* small, they're 5" wide by 7" long, which is pretty decent size.

I use them for re-heating veggies and baking individual pieces of fish.

Texsport Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet - 13-Inch

Needs to be "reworked"
When I received the Texsport skillet, the bottom inside had a very rough area that had to be ground smooth. It would not let a spatula go over the top of it.

The skillet would not set flat on the stove or table because the word "Texsport" was raised, and cast into the skillet bottom, making the skillet "rock" on any flat surface. That had to be ground off with a electric grinder.

After the above was done, the skillet had to be re-seasoned.

I think I might have a descent skillet now, after all of the above work was done. Evidently, the folks at Texsport have not tried to cook with one, just "out-of-the-box.

Kirkland Signature 15-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set

Easy to clean and Heats up quick on Electric Stove.
I had seen this at Costco and I didn't want to go with Stainless since those are pain to clean and are not non-stick. This set is one of the best I seen. You can go from stove to oven (max 300F) to refrigerator with out any issues. No warping either. You get plenty of sizes with lids. The grill doesn't have a lid but then again it's square grill. I use that with bacon, hamburgers an etc. Easy to clean also or I just stick it into my Danby Portable Dishwasher which I do now on this set. Well the ones I use for cooking. Even cooking heat with a good Electric stove makes these pots and pan heat up very well. I use them in the oven also and there the best! I high recommend them to anyone looking for a very good cookware set!

Kirkland Cookware Set
I have wanted this Kirkland Cookware Set for quite some time and am very excited about trying all of the pieces. The ones I have used so far I am very pleased with. They seem to cook evenly and the non-stick surface is great.

works great!
I was very impressed with the cookware. they are sturdy and cook evenly, clean up is never a hassle. I cook for a family of five almost every night so they get a lot of use. I have owned them for 3 months and have yet to run into a problem. I keep a thin padded cloth in between the ones I stack as to avoid any scratching, and I treat them very well because like anything you want to last has to be cared for. I did a lot of shopping around and read many reviews. So far these have definitely been well worth the bargain.
