Pillivuyt 2-Cup Porcelain Lion's Head Tureen with Lid

Incredible quality; classic design
This tureen and lid survived an extended tumble down a long, steep, brick driveway, and emerged in perfect condition. Surely a lower quality piece whose ears and pedestal were not 'built in' to the main bowl would not have made it.

Most footed bowls seem unstable or awkward to me, but the heft of the pedestal keeps this one balanced so it seems to be glued to the table, rather than waiting for an opportunity to topple.

The detailing is precise. True to Pillivuyt's claims, these can definitely mingle on the table with fine china - as long as your china is nice enough to stand with this functional porcelain; some of my vintage pieces are definitively out shined.

Just the gift I was looking for
I bought this lidded lion's head tureen as a gift for my mother so that I can continue to send her additional ones to add to a collection for her. Since I had it shipped to her address, I have to assume it arrived in good condition.

Pomaireware Clay Oval Baking Dish with Lid

Not recommended
Lid was a very different color from the bottom and the lid and bottom together did not in any way, shape, fashion or form, come close to even a reasonable fit.

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Hard-Base Ceramic Mini Oval Au Gratins, Set of 2

Excellent
I just got the Analon version $10...same size etc. Beautiful.

With all due respect to the first reviewer....Au Gratin dishes are generally baked....in an oven . For those not familiar with this type of dish....try Google for recipes. Some of my fave dishes have been Au Gratin. Nice way to entertain....four of these along with (4 friends/family) salad a little wine , dessert and Happy Happy Happy.

High Quality
All my regular cookware is Calphalon, so I am used to higher end cookware. These mini au gratins fit that expectation. The nonstick surface is very heavy duty. Even crusted on food will wipe away easily with just a short dip in hot water.

Another thing I love about these is being able to make individual portions & tailor each one to suit each taste. These are even cute enough to serve from. We use these for so many different dishes from scampi to potatoes au gratin to mac & cheese & even individual pot pies.

For those who complain about the size of these pans, what part of MINI do you not understand? I actually think they are very generously portioned. You can't blame the product or amazon.com for your failure to read what you are buying. I am very pleased with my purchase & think it is an excellent value for the price.

Perfect for My Uses
They're not *that* small, they're 5" wide by 7" long, which is pretty decent size.

I use them for re-heating veggies and baking individual pieces of fish.

Le Creuset Stoneware 10-1/2-by-13-1/4-Inch Deep Dish Baker, White

The ultimate lasagna pan!
I have been thrilled with the heft and quality of the Le Creuset poterie line - and this is no exception. After years of trial and error I have found this to be the perfect pan for my lasagna. I like to make BIG batches of lasagna, and this pan lets me feed an army. The color and finish are flawless and that famous Le Creuset non-stick ability is in full force here. Even after baking a big lasagna in it, washing this thing by hand is a piece of cake!

So, to sum up: Its large, it looks great, it cooks evenly, and it is very easy to clean after use. All of that for a pretty good price too! Highly recommended!

LOVE IT!! GREAT SIZE!
I love to cook, entertain, host, etc. I was looking for a good looking, white baking dish and this exceeded my expectations.

I like heavier cookware so this is perfect for me (some may find it a bit too heavy).

GREAT size. So far made lasagna, baked ziti and a potato casserole in it.

GREAT PRODUCT

Johnson Brothers Friendly Village Rectangular Baker

Large and lovely baking dish
I was not disappointed with the look of this casserole dish. It matches my Friendly Village set (which was made in England, not China) beautifully.

Festive looking but everyday tough
When I found this Johnson Brothers FRIENDLY VILLAGE baking dish on Amazon, I just had to buy it to go with the set of dishes and other pieces I have purchased from Amazon. All of these dishes are gorgeous and really dress up a table, but they are strong enough for everyday. They are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. I scan Amazon all the time to see what other pieces I can find to add to my set. I have found other places that sell Johnson Brothers FRIENDLY VILLAGE but the price is not as good.

Kitchen Supply 8149 White Porcelain Square Dinner Plate, 10.5 Inch

Great looking plates
Great plates! I love the fact that their bezel is thin, so it gives a lot of surface on the plate itself to load it with food.

Harold Import 98019 Porcelain Heart Creme Brulee Dish 5"

Great Valentine's Day dessert dish
I used these to make a Valentine's Day dessert for my husband. I baked chocolate chip cookies in the bottom of the dish and after removing from the oven, I added a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They worked great! The cookies did not stick, the porcelain held up, and they cleaned up easily.

Emile Henry 11-Inch Oval Au Gratin White

Lovely and practical
This is a very pretty oval gratin. It's scratch-proof, easy to clean, and can go straight from the freezer into a hot oven w/o cracking. Like all Emile Henry white dishes, this is more of a blue-white than an ivory. It may not match all your other white serving dishes if you mix and match across brands.

Good Choice
Bought this to use for broiling and avoid problems with CorningWare. The dish is very light and the finish is resistent to stains.

received item does not match product ad
i adore emile henry; this review is solely based upon amazon's product information vs. what is actually sent out to the consumer. 1) the shape of the item differs from the picture. the actual shape includes handles; refer to the 16.5'' and 8.5'' emile henry white gratin dishes sold here at amazon for the exact style. 2) the emile henry label reads 11'' vs. the 13'' stated on the amazon specs and title. the 13'' measurement is the distance from the outer end of one handle to the outer end of the other handle. on a more positive note... i do wish to point out... after receiving more than a dozen packages from amazon, this is the first and only one that was carefully packed.

Pomaireware Garlic Holder with Lid, Brown

A little too folk-crafted for my taste
First, I accept responsibility for failing to realize from the clearly stated dimensions how big this garlic holder is. It's huge! You could store three buds of garlic plus a half-dozen cloves of shallots, so it looks pretty ridiculous in my tiny kitchen. But the size alone wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the crude pig's snout and tail added to the holder (you can see the snout if you look very, very closely at the photo). The product description tells us that each holder is unique, but given that punched-out bits from the holes for letting air through the holder were still attached in clumps to the inside of my holder until I pried them off, my guess is these holders are rushed through production and then passed off as "original" (and thus desirable) when "clumsy" is a more accurate description. As long as I turn the snout toward the wall, though, the holder certainly is functional--and I don't want to spend more on shipping to get another holder--so I'll keep using this...

Call a pig a pig
The Pomaireware Garlic Holder was purchased by my daughter as a gift for me, from my "wish list." This item is large, actually 8" tall and 6" at it's widest point. It does hold a lot of garlic, which is a good thing.
My biggest issue is that nowhere in the description does it say that it has a pigs' face and tail! I obviously did not look at the "expanded view," but the description should mention that it is, after all...a pig! I suppose it might be considered "cute" if you had a pig-themed kitchen...I don't. I don't think it's cute...or have a pig-themed kitchen.
The only place I can hide it is on top of my refrigerator, and since the lid is very loose, it rattles. I keep a fabric trivet underneath it, which helps. Maybe this is part of being "rustic?" Too much of a bother to send it back.

Pillivuyt Porcelain Heavy-Duty Medium 11-1/2-by-9-1/2-Inch Lasagne Baker

Love this baker
It's a wonderful lasagna pan and very heavy duty as the description states. It cleans easily and retains it's high glazed finish. With proper care it will last a long long time. I always look forward to using it whenever I bake.
