Fagor 8 Piece Tri-Ply Cookware Set

Incredibly, unbelievably bad
I got this set of cookware free along with a Fagor cooktop. I figured it wouldn't be as good as All-Clad or Cephalon but that it should service for a couple of years.

The induction cooktop is perfectly fine - quite good actually. The cookware, not so much. We've never had a pan fall apart in a single day. After using exactly once, under normal care, two pieces started rusting! So much for stainless steel. For the other pieces that haven't started rusting yet, cleaning is shockingly more difficult compared to All-Clad - or frankly every single other make of cookware we've used. And even after washing shortly after use, water stains require intense scrubbing to remove - again contrasting with our non-Fagor cookware.

On top of that, the glass lids are difficult to fully clean where they connect to their edges.

On the plus side, the handles stay cool, the aesthetics are good, and the steamer is well-designed.

I've only had one set, but if...

FAGOR TRI-PLY COOKWARE 8-PIECE
I like the fast even heat distribution that the tri-ply core offers. Not to mention the stay-cool handles.
The HMI is excellent and the sizes just right. And the set has all the pieces; stock/pasta pot, skillet, a good size steamer basket and 2 saucepans, the smaller one doubles as a fryer too. The glass lids are heavy enough and vented for simmering. Now, if only I knew a cleaner that performs just as well, I'd be set.

Wife likes set.
My wife is pleased with set of cookware. She has used many brands of cookware and prefers Fagor.
I will polish skillet with abrasive to reduce sticking of eggs.
Large handles help wife lift heavy skillet.

Kirkland Signature 15-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set

Easy to clean and Heats up quick on Electric Stove.
I had seen this at Costco and I didn't want to go with Stainless since those are pain to clean and are not non-stick. This set is one of the best I seen. You can go from stove to oven (max 300F) to refrigerator with out any issues. No warping either. You get plenty of sizes with lids. The grill doesn't have a lid but then again it's square grill. I use that with bacon, hamburgers an etc. Easy to clean also or I just stick it into my Danby Portable Dishwasher which I do now on this set. Well the ones I use for cooking. Even cooking heat with a good Electric stove makes these pots and pan heat up very well. I use them in the oven also and there the best! I high recommend them to anyone looking for a very good cookware set!

Kirkland Cookware Set
I have wanted this Kirkland Cookware Set for quite some time and am very excited about trying all of the pieces. The ones I have used so far I am very pleased with. They seem to cook evenly and the non-stick surface is great.

works great!
I was very impressed with the cookware. they are sturdy and cook evenly, clean up is never a hassle. I cook for a family of five almost every night so they get a lot of use. I have owned them for 3 months and have yet to run into a problem. I keep a thin padded cloth in between the ones I stack as to avoid any scratching, and I treat them very well because like anything you want to last has to be cared for. I did a lot of shopping around and read many reviews. So far these have definitely been well worth the bargain.

Cuisine Select Vittorio 7 Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set

The handle and knobs don't stay cool!
I bought tis set to replace my cheap though still functioning Ikea set. I was very disappointed when I first used it. The silicon handle and knob got hot when boiling water. It is worse than my Ikea one! I am returning them though they look nice with glass lids.

Love these pans, was a little disappointed at the size of them, but over all they are really nice. The only other thing I can complain about is you have to use cooking spray every time you use them otherwise you burn your food.

Le Creuset Tri-Ply Stainless Steeel Cookware Set, 10-Piece

Not Up to Snuff
As a Francophile and home cook enthusiast, my appreciation of Le Creuset cast iron, enamel-coated casserole cookware and is very high (BTW, I have a gas stovetop and oven and have been using them since purchased 4 months ago).

However, my enthusiasm for the brand name has been tarnished by the purchase of this low quality set (Le Creuset Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware Set, 10-piece). Basically, this line is made in China (not France as the cast iron, enamel-coated pots are) and the result is not what I expected from such a quality-focussed company. I don't know how to describe the steel other than poor quality in the sense that:

1. they scratch easily (even in shipping there were a few cosmetic scratches);
2. the steel discolors easily and in splotches (small brown discolorations that only come off with a mild abrasive like Bar Keeper's Friend) on bottom AND sides;
3. the frypan had a pit on the inside of it (the size of a grain of salt) that I did...

Oster 8-pc Black Aluminum Cookware

Far Exceeds Expectations
This cookware was ordered for use in Baghdad, Iraq in what can best be described as primitive kitchen conditions. Since it will be left behind here, tried to locate a modestly-priced nonstick set that had all of the essential sizes with matching lids. I opted for this one because of good prior experiences with the Oster brand and the number of pieces included (dutch oven w/lid, two sauce pans w/lids, two frying pans). Free shipping from Amazon was a bonus. The set was impressive right out of the box - the vessels aren't flimsy and have good weight and balance; the handles are solidly riveted with very comfortable grips that don't get hot during cooking; the glass lids are vented and fit tightly. The dutch oven is large enough to produce meals for 4-6 people and its lid also fits the large frying pan, an added plus. The set has been used rigorously for nearly a month (three-plus meals a day) and other than the usual discoloration of the pan bottoms caused by gas flames, shows no wear...

Imperial 14 Piece Hammertone Cookware Set With Bonus Griddle

Good Value
We like this set a lot, just be careful with the lids, the lifting knobs seem to break easily, if dropped. You get a good selection very inexpensively.

Dr. Weil 3 Piece Starter Set

Excellent even heating
We have these two pans, and they heat faster and more evenly than any others we own, including our calphalon pans.

Small, but very nice
The only complaint is the size. It's perfect for single meals, but trying to feed a group holiday meals and you need two or everything. They heat up well, clean up with little effort and are good quality. I would recommend them for a couple making usual nightly meals.
